Our recruitment process aims to ensure we employ the best person for a particular job.
The actual steps in our recruitment and selection process are as follows:
- Advertising – electronic, recruitment agency
- Shortlisting – resume screening, phone screens
- Interview – conducted by a Human Resources Officer and other key stakeholders of the position
- Assessment - dependent on the role, this may include one or more of the following
- Psychometric
- Computer Skills
- Verbal/numerical
- Mechanical comprehension
- Weld
- Functional fitness
- Reference checking
- Pre-employment medical and/or physio – if required, will typically be conducted by a medical practitioner
- Letter of offer (i.e. contract of employment)
New employees undergo an orientation/induction which covers the following:
- Generic Site induction
- Health and Safety Component
- HR Component
- Site Specific induction
